SpeedTeX connects to Overleaf’s code editor and applies validated changes as a single native transaction. The hosted architecture and lifetime license are the same as the VS Code build.

Chrome Web Store submission is still pending. This beta uses Chrome’s standard “Load unpacked” developer flow.

Install in two minutes

  1. Download and unzipDownload the ZIP above and unzip it somewhere you will keep.
  2. Open Chrome extensionsVisit chrome://extensions and enable Developer mode.
  3. Load SpeedTeXChoose “Load unpacked” and select the unzipped folder containing manifest.json.
  4. Activate oncePin SpeedTeX, open its toolbar button, and paste your lifetime license.
  5. Write in OverleafUse Code Editor mode. Finish normal prose with a period, ?? for inline LaTeX, or ??? for the whole document.
